Camp K9 offers two different training options. We offer 5 or 10 day boarding school programs and accelerated daycare. 

In order for training to be successful, it is imperative for owners to work at home to change behaviors as instructed by our trainers. Your willingness to incorporate training and obedience commands into everyday life are crucial for success.

*Since we are a small facility and have difficulty social distancing, we are not offering group classes.

Boarding School

                                                  5-2 Boarding School                                           $750

​

This on leash program is designed to establish dog/owner communication and give you on-leash control. Upon completion of this program your dog will be able to walk on lease, sit, lay down patiently at your left side and how to properly greet people. During this program your dog will stay in residency at Camp K9 for five full training days. During this time our trainer will teach your dog the following on-leash commands: HEEL with automatic-SIT, SIT at your side, DOWN at your side, PLACE and STAY.

This programs includes two private follow-up lessons at Camp K9 where you will be taught proper leash handling and given insight into behavior patterns and problems. Your first lesson will take place the day that you pick up your dog. Your second follow-up lesson must be completed within 14 days after the final date of residency training. Follow-up lessons can be scheduled 9am-12pm Monday-Sunday. Our trainer will assist you scheduling follow-up lessons when your dog has completed it residency.

                                                 10-4 Boarding School                                       $1,225

 

This on-leash training program is designed to establish and enhance effective dog/owner communication. During this program your dog will stay in residence at Camp K9 for then full training days. Our trainer will teach your dog the following on-leash commands: HEEL with automatic-SIT, SIT and DOWN at your side, SIT and DOWN in motion, SIT and DOWN from the front, STAY, PLACE and COME. Your dog will be taught to respond to both verbal commands and hand signals.

During your four private follow-up lessons at Camp K9, you will be taught proper leash handling techniques and correct use of each command. Your follow-up lessons will include instruction at Camp K9’s indoor training area. During these lessons, there will be an emphasis on diversifying your dog’s commands, working around distractions, and advice on handling unwanted behaviors. Your first lesson will take place the day that you pick up your dog. The additional three private follow-up lessons must be complete 30 days after the final date of the Boarding School program.

                            Accelerated Daycare                $40 per day

​

This program is a new concept in dog daycare. During this program your dog will work one-on-one with our trainer multiple times a day. Our trainer will teach your dog the following on-leash commands: HEEL with automatic-SIT, and SIT at your side. Once these commands have been mastered, our trainer will teach your dog DOWN at your side, STAY, PLACE and COME. Upon completion of this program, your dog will be able to walk on a leash without pulling, greet people politely and how to sit patiently. You will be given a thorough lesson on these commands on the last day of the week when you pick up your dog from Camp K9. During this program, your dog gets plenty mental and physical exercise, learns to relax with mandatory down times and leaves your dog tired at the end of the day but also well mannered. For the best results, it is required that your dog attends at least three days per week for two consecutive weeks.

 

Day School Hours 9am – 4:00pm Monday – Friday

 

Go Home Lessons will be scheduled on your last day of the week when you pick up your dog.
